2002 Lamborghini Murcielago

The two-seat Murcielago features a traditional Lamborghini mid-engine layout, enabling a 42/58-percent front/rear weight distribution. A steel tubular frame with carbon fiber provides the foundation for this supercar. The chassis features an independent front and double-wishbone rear suspension with electronic damping, allowing both automatic and manual adjustment. The front wears 8x18-inch aluminum wheels shod in 245/35ZR18 tires, while the rear employs 13x18-inch wheels wrapped in 335/30/ZR18 tires. Behind the wheels are large four-caliper disc brakes fitted with a four-channel ABS system

The mighty 6.2-liter V-12 aluminum engine looks as good as it sounds, reving to its 7500-rpm redline. The potent 580-horsepower output is routed through a full-time all-wheel-drive system ensures traction at launch and at speed. Power and emissions management is optimized through the operating range by using a three-mode variable-geometry intake system (VIS), variable valve timing (VVT), and drive-by-wire throttle.
